This is already a bad match for the central gameplay in subnautica, which consists of starting naive and gradually learning more about your environment to master it. Whenever Subnautica: Frontier takes place they are down to only about a dozen members, most of which are former Alterra people or animal rights activists. Three years after Below Zero, the Sea Emperors began to hit a downfall when Alterra started to crack down on them. She convinced him to join her and they formed the Sea Emperors.

Eventually she realized that she couldn't do it alone so she went off and found Ryley who was still working off his 1 trillion credit debt. After she finished off the events of Below Zero, Robin became more frustrated with Alterra so she began to take things into her own hand.

It was formed by Ryley Robinson and Robin Ayou. The Sea Emperors are a small group when compared to Alterra.
